New season, new home, new basketball experience.

This 2020, Architects Basketball Union (ABU) promised to elevate the game experience of its members as it launched the 2020 1st Boysen Cup at their newest home, Aero Center in Quezon City last February 8, Saturday.

"It's a turning point for the club, a milestone na nakapagpalit kami ng court for the past 12 years, from CCP (Central Colleges of the Philippines) dito na tayo ngayon sa Aero Gym," said ABU President Don Ferrer.

"As the direction of Board of Trustees, we want to improve the experience of the members and first para doon is 'yung pagpapalit ng court," he added.

Ferrer also commended the facility of their newest venue as it provided everything they needed, such as the sound system, shower and comfort rooms, parking space, accessibility to public transportation, client relation assistants, and especially the wooden basketball court.

In the first three games of the season, Wood Prime won against Permacoat as Lester Ong tallied 20 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocks, while Jonathan Dy-Sun and Emil Ilagan contributed 28 and 16 markers, respectively.

Wylland Oppuer banked on Patrick Rogando's double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds, and Guio Banigued's 25 as they defeated Titan Elastomeric, 76-69.

Bumi Asanza had 10 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks, Jeff De Guzman contributed 23 markers and 12 boards, and Earl Bello posted a game-high of 30 points as they beat Wallguard, 88-73.

Being the club's consistent major sponsor, Ferrer acknowledged the continuous support of Boysen which helped in their success.

"We are always grateful sa support ng Boysen dahil sila ang major sponsor ng ABU. But in return, continuous din and support ng ABU members sa products ng Boysen to keep the strong relationship," Ferrer explained.

Like the past years, ABU will be having three conferences for this season: two Boysen Cups and the Corporate Cup in the middle of the year.

For the second straight year, ABU tapped Kings of the Court as the official organizing partner for the whole season.

Concluding his statement, "To our members, keep on supporting the club and enjoy the game."
