TKover started its campaign in the Kings of the Court / Inter Pick-up Division 2020 with a brilliant escape over Legends, 70-69, last Saturday at the home of KOTC The Upperdeck Gym in Ortigas.

Up by six entering the final frame, 52-46, Legend fought back quickly, but Marvin Manaois led TKover to withstand their amazing run to steal a one point game before the buzzer ended, and grabbed their first win in the tournament.

Manaois put up 17 points while shooting a hot 52% from two-point area, dished out 5 assists and four rebounds. Calvin Chua and Glerick Clavari both added 11 markers.

On the other hand, Legend dropped its second game in three outings - almost had a comeback by rebounding and creating turnover for their opponents.

However, LA Agustin and Ajun Valenzuela came out short as they found themselves struggling in this game. The former tallied 22 points while torching with 62% from the field, then the latter had 17 markers.

The black shirts, who were trailing all throughout the game, outscored their opponents by 23-18 in the fourth period, but TKover hits timely shots down the stretch to earn a victory.
