DMCI rolled up to three straight wins after giving Centric IT Group - Team A its third consecutive loss, 75-62, in the Corporate Recreational Division of KOTC / STR8 Philippines 2019 Invitational held at The Upper Deck Lifestyle Center in Pasig City.

Anchoring the offense with his fearless attacks to the hoop, Froy Pontivedra took the spotlight anew by delivering a team-high of 18 points. Ralph Kenneth Rivas and Donald San Gaspar provided an identical production of 10 points apiece, while Darryl Columna controlled the board by grabbing 10 rebounds.

Centric IT Group - Team A has been impressive in the first quarter as they hit from all corners even from the three-point curve that caught DMCI in surprise. However, the latter made a late rally to make it a one possession game, 22-20.

Trailing by two at the end of the first quarter, DMCI began to show its strength in the second period as they held Centric IT Group - Team A scoreless in more than six minutes and allowing the opposition to gather only six points in the second salvo. San Gaspar poured the first eight markers in DMCI's 19-point production as they gained an 11-point cushion, 39-28.

DMCI made another key run in the halfway mark of the third canto that helped them get a commanding 18-point deficit, 51-33, and managed to keep this comfortable position towards the fourth period, 55-41.

As Pontivedra made enough work to bring his team to its highest lead at 20 points, 65-45, DMCI had all the reason to deploy other men while leaving Rivas and Peterson Digma on the floor to take in charge of their attacks until officially winning by 13 points.

Patrick Muniz led Centric IT Group - Team A with 19 points, Les Blink Razon contributed 13 markers, and Hirohito Rivera and Arman Taylo got 11 points each.
