Racelis stars anew as Born Ready slips past TKOVER in thrilling encounter

Born Ready survived a thrilling encounter against TKOVER, 90-87, Saturday night in their KOTC Q1 Inter Pick-Up League elimination round encounter at The Upper Deck Lifestyle Center.

DJ Cuasay led the victor with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal while Ellis Chua finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals, to becomt the game-changers- leading them to them to their third win.

High intensity covered the end of regulation as Ronnie Espinosa's buzzer-beating triple sent the game into overtime. The game was still intensely close in the final second of the extension period, where Born Ready was clinging to a precarious 88-87 lead. A missed opportunity from TKOVER eventually had them playing the foul tactic in the dying moments, hoping to get a glimmer of hope for a second OT. But two crucial makes from the foul line seasl Born Ready's W, shutting the door on TKOVER's hopes.

Despite the defeat, TKOVER had leading scorer Marvin Manaios putup strong numbers of 25 points, four rebounds, one assists, and two steals. Jan Marigondon finished with 19 markers, while Ronnie Espinosa hauled down 13 boards along with 15 points for a double-double. Glerick Claravall had a neardouble-double of nine points and 11 rebounds to round out the contributions for their team.

Empowered by a combination of good offense and defense, Born Ready was able to come out victorious. Aside from Cuasay and Chua, four other players logged double figures in scoring led by Gian Racelis' 13 markers- identical to Ram Macario's - while Joseph Nery and WIlliam Paz delivered 11 and 10 markers respectively.
