Pink Dads overcome a slow start giving Born Ready its first defeat in the Inter Pick-up 2020, 83-79

Pink Dads overcame a sluggish start as they gave Born Ready the first taste of defeat in the Kings of the Court Inter Pick-up Division 2020, 83-79, last Saturday at the Upperdeck gym in Ortigas.

After being down by ten in the opening frame, 15-25, Pink Dads gathered themselves and had a flurry of points in the next three quarters.

Patrick Aquino spearheaded the pink shirts on their second quarter attack and outscored Born Ready in that period 28-17. Aquino, who are steady in their last game - torched up for 18 points and nine boards, alongside four steals - eventually bagging the player of the game honors.

On the other hand, Gian Racelis and William Paz led Born Ready on their first and third quarter rallies as they entered the final frame tied at 58.

However, its Pink Dads who made the right plays down the stretch and give Born Ready a loss early in the season after a four point victory.

Micheal Tonel top scored Pink Dads with 24 points, Carlo Eusebio added 17 points and six rebounds, while Aldrin Yambut chipped in 14 markers.

Meanwhile, Recelis had 20 and nine for Born Ready, Paz added 19 and Joseph Nery paced with 15.
