John Monteclaro exploded for 32 points including seven triples in less than 20 minutes playing time to lead MNL Kingpin past Villamor, 116-77 in the Inter-Pick Up Division of KOTC Invitational held at The Upper Deck Gym in Ortigas, Pasig City.

As MNL Kingpin's 16-point lead after the first half got trimmed down to just six in the halfway mark of the third quarter, Monteclaro, who did not enter in the second after playing the whole first quarter, returned into action and immediately made his presence felt through his unbelievable shooting from long range. He seemed to be not missing a shot until giving MNL Kingpin a comfortable 26-point advantage going to the fourth, which they also dominated.

AJ Hizo, Buda Bedana, and Karl Cinco all finished in double figures to join in MNL Kingpin's scoring barrage, making 19, 13, and 10 markers respectively.

MNL Kingpin imposed supremacy early in the game after making a 15-0 run and only allowing Villamor to make its first basket in the sixth minute of the first quarter. Monteclaro knocked down four treys en route to MNL Kingpin's 33-14 lead.

Jonathan Puente started to create wonders for Villamor in the third quarter as he led the team come back to within six, 58-52. But as soon as Monteclaro went back inside the court, his shots, even those long triples, were simply automatic baskets for MNL Kingpin that ended Villamor's chance of winning.

Puente had a notable performance with 27 points to lead Villamor, who fell to 1-3 record. Jello Espino got 14, Steaven Bueno had 13, and Michael Agustin made 12 for Villamor
