Tracing their roots from Tondo, Manila City, the proud owner MNL Kingpin told the story of how the brand rose in the sports clothing business, in just a span of three years (started back in 2015). Fueled by the mission of not only to provide quality sportswear for our basketball-endearing nation, but to equip all hoop-junkies with the mindset of ruling the hardcourt while wearing their threads.

"Ang talagang mission namin sa Kingpin, is maging brand na mayroong class. Gusto namin mag stand out sa design, sa logo, sa lahat. Aside from well-known basketball players like our brand ambassador- Mon Mabayo (QC Capitals-MPBL), we supply threads sa celebrities para makilala siya nationwide." - JC shared, when asked about their brand's mission.

JC shared how he was convinced to seal the deal. "With Kings of the Court, sa pangalan palang magkatunog na [with ours]. For us, alam narin namin na established league na 'to hindi na siya basta basta. Kaya hindi ako nag hesitate na makipag partner agad, kasi isa rin yan sa goal ko this year." 'Angst balanced with class', this is the perfect way to describe the partnership of MNL Kingpin and Kings of the Court|STR8.

He aims for more growth by exploring product development and expanding the MNL Kingpin's reach to new heights, specifically in other countries. "Ngayon we're developing a new style para sa shorts na hindi lang basta sublimation, sa muscle fit shirts, and so on. Sa ibang countries din, nakikilala na kami, like sa middle-east, sa US, and Singapore. Dahan-dahan siyang lumalaki."
