Aquinas Exile had Born Ready eat its words after pulling off an overpowering 81-64 victory to end the six scheduled matches last Saturday at The Upper Deck Gym in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Before the start of the game, Born Ready's plan was to get ahead of Aquinas Exile right from the start. But the result went the other way around as Aquinas Exile was the one who began on a scoring barrage as they held Born Ready to only single digit at the end of first quarter and continued its domination in the next three quarters to wallop the latter.

Playing only in three quarters, Mar Reyes finished with 19 points including five three-pointers, and added seven rebounds, two steals, and a block to lead Aquinas Exile. Larry Rivera helped with 14 markers and eight boards, while Jayson Bondoc and Cedric Umali contributed 11 and nine points, respectively.

As Aquinas Exile held a precarious 20-point lead in the early minutes of the fourth, the game was halted for a few minutes after emotions ran high leaving a four on four match. Despite the situation, Aquinas Exile stayed in control until the clock expired.

Born Ready could not get any closer than 12 points which happened back in the second quarter, 26-14, as they struggled on both ends. They missed all of their six three-point attempts and committed 27 turnovers.

James Alba was the only player from Born Ready to end in double figures as he dropped 22 points, while Joseph Neri and Gian Racelis combined for 17 markers. They fell to a 2-2 record.
