Sunday evening at the Upper Deck, yet the work has already started in the hardwood as two hard-hitting squads is pitted against another where LSBC’s domination and assaults proved too much for Born Ballers in a final box score of 82-75.

Lacking reinforcements but never short of heart, Born Ballers was ready to take on LSBC’s challenge. The squad managed to exchange trades in the first half until LSBC goes wild in the paint.

The duo connived for a strong half time, and their wish was granted as they took over of the match-up and rally into a double-digit lead at the second half.

With Born Ballers’ vision seeing nothing but the tail lights of their competition, they stepped into the gas with a tightened paint defense and contesting their antagonist’s paint domination. With their competitor 10-points ahead of the third, Born Ballers’ closed in, led by Vic Espres, Jose Zamora, and their onslaught of threes.

Espres and Zamora’s sharp eyes gathered 26 points, and 13 points, respectively while their team mate, AJ Figueroa relied on strength and power inside for 19 points. At crunch time, with 77-75 and a minute remaining, LSBC’s Allen Aquino launches a deep triple followed by a put back play that advance their squad to the final box score of 82-75, fending off Born Baller’s pursuit.
