Learn to Trade kept on picking up victories in the Corporate Invitational Division after adding ePLDT to its list of victims, 84-70, Sunday at The Upper Deck Lifestyle Center in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Stretching its winning run to three straight, Learn to Trade climbed up to second spot only behind the undefeated Southern Cross, who gave them their lone defeat in four outings.

Jeff Valencia stayed hot after three games as he dropped another double-double performance to lead Learn to Trade, gathering 21 points on a 71 percent field goal shooting, 14 rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Jayson Tanao-Tanao also finished with a double-double peat of 16 markers and 10 boards, while Allan Aquille was a rebound away to record his own as he chipped in 21points. Ronald Dizon added 10.

Trailing by three in a close first quarter, Learn to Trade had their defense causing trouble to ePLDT in the second period as the latter was limited to single digit scoring. Learn to Trade used two key rallies to gain control at the half, 33-25.

The ePLDT remained struggling in the third canto as they were scoreless in the first five minutes that allowed Learn to Trade walk away with a huge deficit which reached as many as 21 points before carrying a 53-38 lead into the fourth quarter.

Trying to spark a comeback, ePLDT was able to cut the lead to 59-49. Unfortunately, they failed to come any closer than 10 points as Learn to Trade used the clock wisely until securing the victory.

MVP contender Kim Gonzales remained to be the bright spot for ePLDT as he finished with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Christian Villanueva and Monching Olazo tallied 14 markers each, but their team suffered back-to-back losses.
