Action continues to heat up in the 2019 OTBL season as the league is now in the quarter-final stages of its tournament.

The knockout QFs will commence on Saturday, June 1 at The Upper Deck Sports Center in Ortigas.

Top-seeded Marist School will battle the 8th-seeded Don Bosco Makati squad at 1 p.m.

Marist had an almost-immaculate elimination round record, finishing with an 8-1 slate. They will be led by double-digit scorer Christian Nepomuceno, and Jeff Mamhot, the league assists leader with 5.1 APG.

William Tolentino is also an all-around threat, posting season averages of 8.3 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 4.8 APG.

But Don Bosco Makati does not lack firepower, with Benedict Tirado, Richard Garcia, and Michael Villafuerte all averaging above the 20 PPG mark.

The tiff will be followed by the 2 vs 7 match-up between the higher-ranked Aquinas going up against Pasig Catholic College.

Aquinas' success has depended mainly on Lawrence Rivera, one of the league leading rebounders (7.0 RPG) and one of the most efficient scorers of the tournament, shooting at 60.8%.

PCC will be led by the duo of Agobay Raymundo and Bernie Dayo.

In the third game, no. 3 seed V. Mapa will lock horns against no. 6 Angelicum College.

Genesis Friedlander carried team V. Mapa all throughout the elims, as he was a nightly double-double threat averaging 16.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest.

Angelicum will rely on Emmanuelle Mesia, who norms 12.4 points per game.

In the final meeting of the night, it will be a clash of two Mandaluyong neighbors as Jose Rizal University will go up against Don Bosco of Mandaluyong.

JRU's Jaime Palattao (12.6 PPG, 7.1 RPG) will test the mettle of Don Bosco's Richard Garcia (20.8 PPG, 8 RPG, 2.3 APG).
