Jan Carlos Cifra, a Kings of the Court regular and an Immaculate Heart of Mary College (IHMC) alumni, made history last August 13, 2017 as he tied the record for most made basketball three-pointers in one (1) minute.

Held by History Con 2017 at the World Trade Center, Cifra combined speed and accuracy as seen below:

Excerpt from Guinness World Records page:

"The most basketball three pointers in one minute is 26 and was achieved by Justin Dargahi (USA) at Land O' Lakes High School in Land O' Lakes, Florida, USA, on 4 January 2016. This record was equalled by Jan Carlos Cifra (Philippines) at Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, on 13 August 2017.

Dargahi attempted the record at Land O' Lakes high school where he is a basketball coach. Cifra's record attempt took place as part of History Con 2017, happening at the World Trade Center, Metro Manila, Philippines."

Amusingly, Cifra is no stranger to winning three-point contests as he already had various awards from numerous events, one of which was Kings of the Court's 3x3 event held at the Philippine Fitness Expo, SMX Convention Center last September 3, 2016.

The Perfect Stranger: JC Cifra, who was only a walk-in participant and with casual clothes on, bags the Kings of the Court 3-point contest to everyone's surprise and awe.

Not only does he have 3-point championships under his belt, but Cifra also has his name embossed in Kings of the Court history, winning the Rooks Division in Season 7 playing for Dent United.

Not only built for shooting: JC Cifra also made contributions in his stint with then-champions Dent United basketball.
