After being down 8-12 at the end of the first quarter, the Michael Bacani-mentored squad went on a 20-5 blast to start the second quarter led by JC Cifra's 13 points in the surge, as they grabbed the lead at the halftime break, 35-22. But despite the shaky end to the first half, LSBC recovered one step at a time asthey opened the second half by regaining the advantage, 44-41 midway third quarter. Their steady play would carry over to the payoff period.

Tired legs factored-in for DU to start the fourth, as LSBC's defense clogged their sweet spots. Following the defensive lockdown, a 15-5 scoring run from the blue shirts enabled them to blow the game wideopen and hold a 71-59 advantage midway fourth. LSBC would pounce 19 more in the latter half of the period to secure their second win of the season.

Of LSBC's 50 total rebounds, seven players keyed at least five boards in the count which further boosted their run in the last quarter, where they finally solved the DU puzzle. Janjan Apostol and Brandon Espiras each grabbed nine rebounds, six boards each for Jay Magleo and James Escaran, seven for Mark Magleo, and five rebounds each for Kenneth Consebido and Matthew Lopez.

JC Cifra top-scored in the gallant stand from DU Basketball with 24 points, powered by six made triples.
