Aquinas Exile bounced back from their early defeat in the Kings of the Court Inter Pick-up Division 2020 after exploding in the fourth period and escaped a five-point win over Zero Four Mann Hann last Saturday at The Upperdeck Gym in Ortigas, 73-68.

Trailing in three quarters, Aquinas got their groove in the pay-off period as they outmatched Zero Four Mann Hann, 27-13, and eventually stole this win after the buzzer.

Struggling putting up the rock in the basket, the white shirts relied on the hustle guys to do the work until their key players found their shot.

Marco Briones energized his team with 11 rebounds as Aquinas led that department over its opponent 40-31. He also had three out of the six steals his team made all throughout the game, while scoring seven points.

Meanwhile, JC Go carried Zero Four Mann Hann offensive load with 32 points, with a red hot 75% from the 2-point area and 41% from deep. However, a lack of offensive thrust especially in the end game made them lose their lead in the final frame.

Cedrick Umali led the scoring for Aquinas with 16 points, while Ellard Cortez and Larry Rivera added 12 and 11 respectively.

Franklin See supported Go with 13 markers, while Hop Dee and Lloyd Tan scored nine and six.
