1994 had a key run in the final frame to pull away their second victory in the Aquinas Basketball 2019 over a year younger batch 1995, 79-64, Saturday at the Aquinas gym in San Juan.

Holding on to an eight point lead, the winning team used a 12-4 run to increase their lead to 13, 67-54 at 4:50 mark in the fourth quarter.

Mario Reyes had a vintage game as he started and ended their pivotal rally with a triple, and finished with 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and got two swipes.

Marco Briones had ten points, and six boards, while Antonio Stevens and Raymond Conui both had seven a piece.

On the other hand, Joggs Valencia and Alexander Carpio provide the scoring punches for 1995, who had 12 and 11 points respectively.

Despite carrying the team, their team’s lack of production from the others can’t keep up from 1994 barrage of points in the payoff period.

It was neck-to-neck battle after the tip as both teams are trading blows, down by a point, 1994 had an eight to nothing run to take over by seven points, 19-12 at 1:29 remaining in the first.

Though, 1995 answered its own five straight points to end the opening period down by a bucket, 20-18.

A vintage Mario Reyes was seen in the Aquinas gym last Saturday as he helped his 1994 lift their second victory in Aquinas Basketball 2019.

His dazzling three pointers and tricky euro steps are still there that converted a lot of baskets.

He finished with 25 points, while shooting 54% inside the arc and 40% outside. The versatile forward also added seven rebounds and two steals.
